Supervisor Sharon Alston-Felder is the daughter of the late John and Loretta Green of Charleston, South Carolina. She received her education within the Charleston, South Carolina Public Schools Education System before pursuing higher studies at South Carolina State University. Throughout her career, Mother Felder has held positions in retail, Corporate America, and the Virginia Beach City Public Schools. She shares her life with her beloved husband, Deacon Horace Felder. Together, they have been blessed with four children: Rashaad, Bambi, Stephan, and Zia, along with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In 2000, Mother Felder earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University. Following this, she attained a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University in 2002, and later, a Master of Special Education from Regent University in 2016. Having retired from the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, she has consistently found fulfillment in working with both adults and children throughout her career.
Throughout the years, she has remained a devoted member of both Good News and the Garden of Prayer Worship Center, under the leadership of the late Bishop Levi E. Willis II and Mother Judith L.W. Willis since 1996. She has served locally as the Youth Leader and Sunday School Superintendent for the District.
Under the previous administration of the Virginia Third Jurisdiction, Mother Felder initially served as a missionary under the late Bishop Levi E. Willis Sr., and the late Supervisor Mother Fannie G. Mann, and later as an Administrative Assistant under the late Bishop Levi E. Willis Sr., the late Bishop Levi E. Willis II, and the late Supervisor Mother Claudine T. Austin.

Honorably upholding the vision of her bishop and adhering to the directions passed down to her from her jurisdictional supervisor, Mother Felder served the Lord with gladness in the Virginia Third Department of Women. Following the demise of Mother Austin, whom she held in high esteem, Mother Felder was recommended by Bishop Levi E. Willis II as the Jurisdictional Supervisor in August 2018 and was subsequently installed at the COGIC International Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee, in November 2018.
Currently and with great joy, Mother Felder’s tenure as the Jurisdictional Supervisor continues under the dynamic leadership of Bishop Jonathan G. Willis, the Prelate of the Virginia Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Presently, she serves as the Sunday School teacher for the missionaries of her local church and has been appointed by General Supervisor, Mother Barbara McCoo-Lewis as a member of the COGIC International Department of Women’s Program Committee and the “Breaking the Cycle of Teenage Pregnancy” committee.
Mother Felder’s life goal is to help as many people as possible, sharing the goodness of Jesus, and leading them to Christ. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” which serves as a constant source of inspiration and empowerment in her journey of faith and service.
